Our Story

“Hey, uhh – I have a show at 10 o'clock. Can you close out?” No, this was not something Kevin said to Maureen wrapping up their first date. Rather, it was the waiter asking them to close their tab after dinner at a Nashville burger joint. Their conversation and connection had flowed for nearly four hours - two Nashville natives who wanted to learn about each other, their families, their hobbies, and their upbringings in their beloved hometown prior to pedal taverns and party buses. This connection grew further, from dinner dates and trivia nights, to explorations around town and meeting the important people they love. One particular stroll through town ended on the Cumberland River before the Music City skyline. They shared their hopes, dreams, and the kind of life they each wanted to build and share. It was a moment where the two of them came to realize they were fully on the same page. In the subsequent years they have shared world travels, attended numerous concert and live music events, camped for three Bonnaroos, built fantastic careers, moved to a beautiful home in the Bluegrass Hills, had millions of laughs, and grown an ever-blossoming adoration for life and each other. The next time they visited the spot along the East Bank was December 18, 2022. Kevin, with a bad back, asked Maureen to marry him, as both of their families looked on from a rooftop bar across the river. Maureen joyfully and continuously nodded her head, unable to say anything. He knew she was too stunned to speak, just as he had planned it. Now, after five years of memories and learnings between them, Maureen and Kevin are ready to embark on their grandest adventure yet. They can’t think of a better way to share it than with all their friends, all their family, and, most importantly, each other…even if another waiter politely asks them to leave.
